We have lost something, haven’t we
I think we
ought to get it back now. To pursue the progress of science, we did not pay much attention to the
world of senses --- sight, hearing, smell, taste and touch.
I am now especially concerned with “touch”. And I express it with paper. Touching with hands is
very direct and intimate. Nowadays sight
is regarded the most important in the mass media. Internets provide us with so much information at the same time all over
the world. So it is very hard to know what is true and what is not.
But I can say there really is something between
‘us’and ‘things’just in front of us.We meet each other. We see things and touch them. That is how we feel our ‘lives’. ‘Life’is something that is invisible, something that lies so deep, something that is noisy inside us and something that cannot be described.I would like to feel this ‘life’with my paper works. We are a part of the nature and a small existence in the universe. That is my instinct. I hope my paper works will have power to strengthen the ‘life’.
